Frederick Lesort, Co-founder & Owner

Opia, a moniker of 'utopia', is a conceivable shangri-la amidst the titillating bustle of New York City. Founded in 2001 by illustrious restauranteurs Frederick Lesort and Antoine Blech (of former culinary hotspots Frederick's, Jour et Nuit, Lemon, and current owner of Matisse), Opia embodies the vivacity of its founders' native and present cities: the mysterious cool of New York and the à la mode sophistication of Paris.

Whether it be drinks, food, l'apéritif's, or a little taste of dessert that you crave, you'll find that our accommodating business hours and sumptuous ambiance make for an unforgettable experience.

The restaurant spans 4,000 feet, and includes a full bar, lounge (with outdoor balconies), and two large dining rooms, all boasting unique, second-floor views of the City.

For private events, we can comfortably accommodate 6-400 guests - for inquiries, please call (212) 688.3939 or click here
